Intro:-
This poem is from the set "Exiled II" and it speaks of the people who represent religion in bad/wrong ways.
POEM
Hermes is unaware that this message
Will be passed down through all lineage
In fact Hermes is aware
He just tends not to care
"If all of them will unite"
"Then anything would seem to be the light"
Hermes never thought that religion
Could ever be a cause of division
Hermes took advantage that god has spoken
Upon a race confused and broken
Hermes translated in his own way
Now it's like god orders us to slay
Hermes was to get a whole race refined
Instead he enlightened us with his own mind
Who gave Hermes the right?
To represent holy might
Us. We made it seem okay
We assumed god orders us to slay
We let religion separate
We gave in to this hate
We let holiness represented by Hermes
Unfortunately we don't know that he got herpes
